I am still not sure if there are two wolves of different ages/sizes or just odd-acting coyotes here in the pasture with our cattle. But the sun was in my eyes and I couldn’t tell for sure. Also, I had my border collie young dog with me and figured I had better get her away – just in case. She would be a tasty dinner for a wolf.

At any rate, I didn’t go closer to look – so I am still not sure if it was a coyote or a wolf.

Today a grey streak ran across the road in front of me. I stopped and looked but it had vanished.

Although we’ve seen the elusive GRAY wolf on the ranch many times, we’ve never been lucky enough to have a camera ready, so we’ve used a photo of a wolf in Yellowstone courtesy of Tom Whetten at Wildlife Photo Tour
